Today, we had five boys and one girl complete the God and Life portion of the P.R.A.Y. program and receive a great award. Four of the boys even received the Four Star award which goes to the boys who have gone through entire P.R.A.Y. program since Cub Scouts. It is a joy and privilege to get to work with this girls and boys within their scouting journey and their walk with God!

Happy Easter! Sunrise Service is at 7 this morning at Nine Mile with a breakfast following, and then service is at Gates Chapel at our normal time of 9:30. See you all there!

Join us tonight at Nine Mile UMC for the Good Friday Service. It starts at 6:00PM.

Just a reminder that there will not be an Ash Wednesday service at the church, but that I would invite you to attend an Ash Wednesday service somewhere else in town. Ellijay First UMC is having a service at 6:30, and I know some other congregations are having services as well.

I submitted Greg Withrow's photo of the church in the snow for the UMC Favorite Photo's contest. The winning photo gets featured on the United Methodist Church Facebook Page! Go look through the photos and like the Gates Chapel photo. Many people already have!

Service tomorrow has been canceled due to snow causing the church power to be out. Nine Mile will have service at 11AM, and they invite you to join them if you can make it.

Troop 404 will be holding an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Kenneth Withrow, 12:30 p.m. Saturday, 18 November, Gates Chapel United Methodist Church. Lunch will be provided. Please join us.

Dropped the ten UMCOR buckets off at the North Georgia Conference storage facility! Look at all the work the Churches around North Georgia have done for hurricane clean up!

Just received a call from DS Pinson that charge conference has been canceled tomorrow because of the weather rolling through. It has been moved to the last Sunday of the month. This will be announced tomorrow in service as well, but this is so you can know now to not plan on having Charge Conference tomorrow.

Great news! Today, Gates Chapel has officially its first Eagle Scout through Troop 404! Be sure to congratulate Kenneth Withrow on this accomplishment.

Continue to pray for all those who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey. This coming Sunday we will be taking up a second offering for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) which is actively aiding all those who have been devastated by Hurricane Harvey. Please pray this week on what God would have you give as every little bit will help.
